Chemical Spill Closes Route 7 Near High School

Stay away from the area...Route 7 just south of the HS is closed to Brookfield. It appears that a tractor-trailer has overturned, dumping chemicals on the road. All traffic is being detoured to Candlewood Lake Road South. Fire personnel are on the scene but there is no Police presence on CLRS and traffic in places such as the intersection at Carmen Hill is at a dead stop.
