The Town Council could not agree on a Budget tonight so Councilman Bob Guendelsberger asked that it meet again to discuss how much can be saved by going to a four-day work week. Be sure to schedule your emergencies on the days that the Police are working.

why is this guy representing New milford residents anyway?
He doesn't even live in this town.
Maybe one of these days, the mighty Bob Guendelsberger will use his considerable legal superpowers to put the screws to the state of Connecticut to quit screwing around and FINALLY fix the flooding that chronically shuts down Route 7 in front of Southworth's.
This chronic flooding is a hassle; but more than that, it's an embarrassment. I think it's just great that we're improving Route 7, but I don't recall a plan to similarly improve the DETOUR around Lake New Milford every time we get heavy rains and run-off.
Is Pat Murphy, Clark Chapin and/or our Town Council addressing this issue? If so, what are the plans?
Hey Bob, the Wizard of Oz called and said he's got your brain and heart. Your courage is on backorder.
Backorder? NOT IN STOCK AND NO LONGER BEING MANUFACTURED FOR THIS ORDER
To Steve- New Milford, are you kidding me Bob G. has considerable legal superpowers?! Now, thats funny I don't care who you are!
But, seriously because you have to be kidding, if you want something done it will be done by our Mayor and Clark, they really do have power to do something. It helps that they really care about New Milford too and its not all politics.
Anonymous, what makes you think Brookfield would want him serving them?
I have heard of other towns working late one night and closing early on fridays. Maybe this will be a good thing for the town.
I don't; but I question the need for him serving in New Milford.
I think Bob Grumblesjerker needs to detox. He is pickled from drinking to much. He stinks as a lawyer. He uses his counci seat so his best friend and client, the developer and only other friend George McL can have a say in running the town.
He doesn't open his budget book he calls his buddies up. He needs to go, Brookfield would be ok as long as he leaves NM.
A four day work week - that will save about as much money as the laid off employees not that long ago. When all settled down the posistion were reinstated plus more employees seemed to be needed. I remember when we had a fire marshall who needed an assistant - he left because of the hassle and work load. Then the TC hired a new fire marshall with an assistant. He wanted more help, which of course was denied. So he went to Fl and the assistant went to the State. Now we have a fire marshall, and I might be wrong, but now there are three assistants. When do the members of the Town Council punish the employees who are dedicated and worked five to twenty years for the Town but keep approving employees for only one department.
I see the Tax Office, Finance Department, Assessors's Office Mayor's Office with the same personal for the last twenty years while you bloat the Town Clerks, Fire Marshall, Building with new employees. Bob do your really put your brain in gear before you open your mouth? Yea lets charge the tapayers more and give them less service. Great Idea Bob!!!
Bob is not as harmful as a councilman as he was when he was chairman of the BoE. He's one of 9 and not the boss. And he's useless, pandering to the audience like blowhard Ray O'Brien. Ray does his homewrok. bob learns what's on for the night when he gets there. Ans speaking of BoE you will find out when the financial hokus pocus started there. it was when he was chairman. Just like he used boe money to buy monogrammed unforms and ski equipemtn for the ski team. Ever see that ski team again? who was on it? his daughters.
